Let L be the degenerate Schr\"{o}dinger operator, For such an operator, we introduce two families of square functions associated with heat semigroup and the Poisson semigroup, respectively. By the reproducing formulas and the regularity properties of the semigroup, we establish the square function characterizations of the Hardy space associated with L.
