摘要：This is an introductory talk on spectral geometry. I will talk about some interesting theorems/problems regarding the eigenvalues of the Laplacian on compact Riemannian manifolds. I will focus on large eigenvalues. Some of our results will be mentioned.

报告人简历：王作勤，中国科学技术大学数学系教授，2008年博士毕业于美国麻省理工学院，入选中组部第四批青年千人。
