全球数字人文研究平台筹委会于2014年5月9日至11日期间举办的“关于中非关系的文化交流与合作：可能的发展方向与现有的机会”会议有以下主要内容——我们首先介绍非洲，包括对于非洲历史、地理和文化传统的多样化概览，以及对当前中非关系的介绍。我们还将举办作家工作坊，其中包括：a.诗歌艺术；b.小说；c.数字化平台项目在下一年的工作可以为双方的研究工作带来那些互利帮助；d.闭幕式（包括诗歌朗诵表演）。本次会议是中国南部第一次举办的关于中非比较文化领域的学术会议，将有数名非洲作家协会的会员参与会议，并有汕头大学妇女研究中心及汕头作家协会协同参与。

We at the Global Digital Humanities platform welcome you, the STU community, to participate in our upcoming conference, 搇ochCultural Exchange and Engagement in Africa-China Relationships: Defining Possibilities, Realizing Opportunities攍och May 9 to 11, 2014. At this conference we with our partners, the Africa Writers Trust and the Shantou Writers Association, will be examining culture in the era of globalization and digital technology by taking a close look at the emerging relationships between China and African nations. There will be a variety of lectures, meetings, discussions, workshops, and panels uniting several units across campus, including the Department of Computer Science, College of Liberal Arts, Center for Global Studies, Center for Women’s Studies, and the Cheung Kong School of Journalism to discuss writing, technology, and representations of culture that will play a key role in enhancing the relationships between China and African states.
