报告题目：Gradient index metamaterials and transformation optics

　　Recently, meta-surface has provided a new concept and method to manipulate waves. We found that similar effects also exist in a more general catalogue, gradient index metamaterials, where we designed another two broadband effects, unidirectional propagation and cloaking. In addition, we found an interesting perspective and a general framework for transformation optics, i.e., transformation optics with artificial Riemann sheets, where we designed a non-Euclidean cloak as an example.

　　陈焕阳教授简历：
　　2001年9月至2005年7月在上海交通大学完成本科学习，期间曾以交换生身份至香港科技大学访学一个学期。2005年 9月，保送上海交通大学，直接攻读博士学位，并于2008年6月提前2年毕业，期间曾以研究助理身份在香港科技大学陈子亭教授课题研究组工作近一年半。 2008年9月至2009年9月，以博士后研究员身份继续在陈子亭教授课题组工作。2009年9月起任苏州大学物理科学与技术学院特聘教授、博士生导师， 建立变换光学和特异介质的研究团队。2011年博士学位论文入选全国百篇优秀博士论文。2012年获搣青年科学之星攠称号。2013年获江苏省科技进步二等奖。已在NATURE MATERIALS，Nature Communications，PRL等发表学术论文逾50篇，引用超过2000次，H因子20。其成果曾多次被NATURE、SCIENCE等科学杂志 报道或转载，关于声学隐形的结果则入选欧洲物理学会评选出来的2008年度物理学重大进展。
