报告一:Introduction to unipotent representations of finite groups of Lie type

摘要:After recalling the basic definitions of representation theory of finite groups, we review the Deligne—Lusztig virtual characters. In particular, Lusztig introduced Unipotent Characters and Jordan Decomposition of Characters. We will explain these notions and use a (little) special example, the alternating group A5 to illustrate.


报告二:Introduction to the classification of unipotent representations of algebraic groups over a non-archimedean local field

摘要:We will introduce the unramified local Langlands parameters (mainly by Langlands and Deligne). Then we will review Lusztig’s classification of unipotent representations of simple algebraic groups over a non-archimedean local field. These representations were defined by him, and he gave a classification fits into Langlands’ philosophy. Finally, I will talk about a uniqueness result on supercuspidal unipotent representations, which confirms that Lusztig’s classification is essentially unique from the harmonic analysis viewpoint (formal degree, Plancherel measure).
