报告人简介：
Paulo César de Morais，国际电气与电子工程师协会（IEEE Society）高级会员。1976年本科毕业于巴西University of Brasilia，获得化学学士学位。1982年获得University of Brasilia物理学硕士学位，1986年获得Federal University of Minas Gerais固体物理学博士学位。 Paulo César de Morais教授于1986年至2012年在University of Brasilia任教，曾先后担任教授、物理系主任等职，期间于1987年在美国新泽西贝尔实验室和1992年德国慕尼黑Walter Schottky研究所博士后工作站。2012-2015年作为首批国家“外专千人”特聘专家，担任华中科技大学特聘教授。2016年1月至今，安徽大学特聘教授，安徽省“外专百人计划”获得者。
报告内容：
The talk aims to introduce the research experience of Professor De Morais, covering the period from 1983 to 2018, focused on nanomaterials; their fabrication, characterization, and applications. Special emphasis will be given to nanomagnetism, covering from basics to applications. The presentation will be organized as follows: the experience in the field, the actual ongoing research, and future perspectives. Examples of applications of nanomagnetic materials Professor De Morais has been involved with, spanning from sensors (such as magnetonanothermometry) to environmental cleanup technology and drug targeting the central nervous system will be presented and discussed.
